Driver Ed courses offered in February, April
Several required driver education courses for teens 15 and older will be offered this spring by Western Nevada College.
In Douglas, classes will meet Saturdays, Feb. 26-March 19, and Monday-Thursday, April 18-21, during spring break.
All classes meet 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost per session is $110.
WNC New Driver Education program focuses on key areas where young drivers lack skill – poor visual search habits; inattention; improper management of speed and space; and lack of patience. Speakers present information on local hazards and issues; insurance; and vehicle and tire safety precautions.
To register for the non-credit class, complete the online Driver Education Registration Form at http://www.wnc.edu/ /drivereducation/, then print out and mail or fax the to WNC Admissions, 2201 West College Parkway, Carson City, NV 89703.
Once processed, normally two days after it is received, students may call (775) 445-4458 or proceed with Web-REG to pay for the course.
