Don Bently now at home

Staff Reports

Don Bently of Bently Nevada Corp., who suffered a stroke this spring, last week came home from the Mayo Clinic where he was undergoing rehabilitation therapy.

Roger Harker, CEO of Bently Nevada, said on Monday that Bently returned to Carson Valley July 21 on a regularly scheduled airline and accompanied by his son Christopher, who is staying with his father during the rehabilitation period.

“He is continuing his great progress and recovery and is having physical therapy at the ranch,” Harker said. “He is out every day, visiting one of the ranch operations, and primarily working with his ranch manager, Mike Compston.”

Bently is a co-owner of Dangberg Holdings, a portion of the historic H.F. Dangberg Ranch.

“He’s very excited about being back in the Valley. You always recover better at home,” Harker said, adding that Bently is improving much more rapidly than any of the doctors had anticipated.
