Craft fair, bake sale benefits charities

Where: 1375 Centerville Rd.
Gifts, ornaments, jewelry and holiday décor are a few of the things available at the Holiday Craft Faire and Bake Sale on Nov. 7.
The Carson Valley United Methodist Church is hosting this annual event to raise money for local, national and international charities.
Last year’s event brought in over $9,000, said chairwoman of the event, Sharon Calvert.
They will be selling themed baskets, as well as handcrafted gifts and offering goodies at the bake sale.
A special “kids only” section will offer shopping that the little ones get to do themselves, including free gift wrapping. The kids section will have gifts for under $3.
There will also be a soup and salad bar from 11:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. for $5. The entire event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 7 at the church. All of the proceeds for this event will benefit charities, making Christmas shopping feel like a good deed.
“This year we have some lovely, really nice things,” said Calvert. “It will be a nice affair.”
