A debris site has been established in the Johnson Lane area for residents who were affected by last week’s flooding.

The site is located on Heybourne Road between Johnson Lane and Stephanie Way at the water fill, and will be open until further notice. The site is limited to natural materials such as dirt and rock, not trash and appliances, county spokeswoman Melissa Blosser said.

The county is still collecting information on damage throughout the area. A flash flood hotline at 782-6262 and email address has been established at Residents may use these contacts to report damages for the state assessment. Officials ask that you leave a detailed message with your name, contact information and address for future damage assessment.

Anyone with significant flood damage on their street is asked to call Public Works at 775-783-6480 and they will respond in order of severity.
