Coleville sports doing well
Both the football and volleyball teams are in the title rounds, due to some really great wins lately.
Our undefeated football team won their league, and volleyball is right up there, too.
We wish them much success in their next series of games and hope they come home champions.
Weekend local events
The Antelope Valley Women’s Club is holding their annual bazaar this Sunday at the community center in Walker.
The doors open at noon, with many great things to check out and purchase.
They will be serving dinner beginning from 4:30 to 6:30, at a cost of $12 for adults and $5 for kids.
It’s always a really enjoyable event, so try to check it out.
The Antelope Valley Artists will also hold their eighth annual show and sale that afternoon, in time for holiday shopping.
Included in the show will be paintings and photography, pottery and jewelry, all by local artists.
Their show will be across the street from the women’s club bazaar, at the senior center, from noon to 5 p.m.
So, be sure to check out both events.
VFW post breakfasts
The VFW will not be holding their monthly breakfast in December due to the holiday, but will be back open at the park building in TRE on the fourth Saturdays of the month, starting in January.
Our homecoming queen
On a personal as well as local note, I want to especially congratulate Inyka Warner on her election as Coleville High School’s homecoming queen.
They couldn’t have picked a better girl.
Stay warm and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
