Child OK in pickup rollover
A year-old child was taken for medical examination after a pickup rolled on Topaz Ranch Drive Saturday afternoon.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, there were no injuries as a result of the wreck.
The driver told deputies he’d replaced all four brakes on a 2003 GMC Sonoma pickup.
“He left his residence and approached the intersection of Zeolite and Topaz Ranch Drive between 25-35 mph in a 25 mph zone,” Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Bernadette Smith said. “When he approached the stop sign, he applied the brakes without results.”
The truck overturned in the curve.
The child was properly restrained and was transported for precautionary measures.
