Carson Valley Toastmasters receive honor for reaching goals

Carson Valley Toastmasters Club has earned Select Distinguished by completing 7 of 10 annual goals set by Toastmasters International, a nonprofit organization, focusing in communication and leadership skills.

The Distinguished Club Program recognizes clubs that provide the supportive and positive learning environment that leads to member success.

Meeting occurs every Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. in Taildragger Café located at the Minden Airport, 1150 Airport Road, Minden.

At each meeting, members have the opportunity to improve leadership and speaking skills by taking turns giving presentations in a relaxed environment, which includes a friendly evaluation from their peers, along with constructive criticism for growth.

The membership cost is $36 bi-annually.
