The Carson Valley Quilt Guild and their more than 200 quilts will take over the Douglas County Community & Senior Center Saturday and Sunday.

The guild is presenting their Our World in Stitches show 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.

There will be a judged quilt show as well as the club’s Challenge Quilts for show-goers to view.

Debbie Riley, Julie Thomas, Cecile Brown and Terrie Peets were chosen as the winners for this year’s competition and will have their work displayed at various locations throughout the Valley this spring and summer.

Challenge quilt participants were given a year to complete their pieces that depicted the 2016 theme, “Our World in Stitches.”

Each participant received two pieces of fabric, which had to be included in the quilt in a recognizable manner.

Door prizes, raffle baskets and vendors will also be a part of the show.

David Taylor will present a lecture about the quilting world 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 10 and younger.
