Carson Valley 20-30 Club member national president
Carson Valley Active 20-30 Club No. 85 member Tommy Lovell was installed on July 15 as the national president of Active 20-30 US & Canada. The installation took place in Eugene, Ore., as part of the National and International 20-30 Convention. Lovell was sworn in with several fellow CV85 members in attendance as well as members from the U.S. and several other countries including Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Panama.
Lovell has been a member of Carson Valley Active 20-30 for 11 years. He also is the second member of the club to serve as president of the national organization. The first national president from Carson Valley was Nick Grant (2000-01 term). Not only was Grant in attendance this past weekend, he installed Lovell as president one red vest swearing in another.
Lovell’s election showcases Carson Valley No. 85’s goal to serve the underprivileged youth in the Carson Valley while developing leadership in young men.
The club is open to men between the ages of 20 and 39, who live in the Carson Valley. Carson Valley Active 20-30 club members meet 7 p.m. Wednesdays. The club has held its meetings in the Old Gardnerville Jailhouse for more than 40 years.
