Brawl breaks out in Stateline New Year’s Day

Douglas County Sheriff’s investigators are gathering information about a brawl that resulted in three stabbings shortly before dawn on New Year’s Day in Stateline.
The incident occurred at about 5 a.m. on the east side of Highway 50.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, four men said they were inside the MontBleu when they saw an argument between two girls near the escalators. They tried to intervene and were approached by six to eight other men who started yelling at them. The victims said they went outside the casino, but the other group followed them outside.
One of the suspects stabbed or cut three of the men. All four then ran across Highway 50 to seek safety.
Two of the men were taken to Renown Medical Center where they were treated and released. The third injured man refused treatment.
The names of those involved is being withheld pending further investigation.
