Boy Scout Troop 33 host spaghetti feed

Staff Reports
Boy Scout Troop 33 completed their canoe merit badge requirements Aug. 9 in Sacramento.
Special to The R-C |

On Aug. 9, Boy Scout Troop 33 of Carson Valley participated in canoe activities at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center.

Each Scout successfully completed the canoe merit badge requirements, and will obtain their merit badge at the Troop’s Court of Honor in November.

In order for the Scouts to attend other events such as this, Troop 33 will be hosting a spaghetti feed fundraiser Oct. 5 at the United Methodist Church, located at 1375 Centerville Lane.

The feed will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $5 per person. Tickets sold at the door are $6 per person. Dinner will include spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert and drink.

All proceeds assist each Scout to participate in various Boy Scout activities such as campouts, which help the Scout earn merit badges, achieve rank advancements, purchase Scout uniforms, and purchase equipment.
