A 70-year-old Reno man was injured Monday evening after an accident on Highway 395 south of Rattlesnake Point, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Arthur Vaught, 70, was driving southbound in a box truck when he drifted off the road at about 10 p.m. Monday.
The 2012 International went into the dirt road and then continued into a cattle fence where it sustained major damage. While the highway wasn’t closed, there was traffic control while the boxes inside the truck were picked up.
Vaught was taken to Reno for treatment of major injuries including lacerations to his arms and face and severe back pain. He was taken by ground ambulance to Sonora Junction where he was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno for his injuries, CHP spokeswoman Anne Morin said.
