Bicyclist in Minden accident identified

The identity was released today of a bicyclist who was injured in an accident last week on Highway 395 in Minden.

Gardnerville resident Iola Mae Frazier, 71, was riding northbound on the southbound sidewalk along Highway 395 at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday in front of the Bank of America as a full-sized GMC pickup was pulling out of the parking lot turning right onto Highway 395.

The driver of the pickup didn’t see Frazier and the front of the bicycle tangled with the front of the pickup, according to Trooper Chuck Allen of the Nevada Highway Patrol

Frazier was dragged to the median of Highway 395.

She was transported by Care Flight helicopter to Reno for medical treatment.
