Austin’s House Appeal for Kids off to good start
The Austin’s House Board of Directors is reporting a promising start to the 2013 Appeal For Kids.
Donations have reached almost $18,000 through the first half of the campaign.
Austin’s House has provided compassionate care for more than 300 children in crisis since opening in 2007.
“We are thrilled by the community response so far,” said Conrad Buedel, treasurer of the Austin’s House Board of Directors. “We are so thankful for our generous neighbors. It is true recognition from the community of how vital Austin’s House is for children from Douglas County, Carson City, and the surrounding areas. Our supporters have a real appreciation for how we have been able to stretch our donation dollars. This allows our caring staff to have a positive impact on the lives of local kids when they most needed the support.”
“We hope we can continue this pace through the end of the year as families and businesses are thinking about making their annual tax deductible charitable contributions. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated,” Buedel continued. “We have a goal of $40,000 by the end of 2013. Reaching that goal would make an incredible difference for a small nonprofit like Austin’s House.”
