Antelope Valley remembers three valued community members

by Lynne Katusich

Services for the three valued community members that we recently lost are upcoming: A memorial for Ted Glassburn of Ted’s Auto will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Community Center in Walker.

While he didn’t live here, he was very important for so many of our residents for the great help he gave us with our vehicles, as well as his friendship.

The memorial for Jack and Maggie Davis will be June 28. It will begin 11:30 a.m. at the cemetery in Coleville, and be followed by a reception at the Community Building.

Highway traffic

Since schools are out for the summer, I’ve noticed much more highway traffic, which is a real plus for our local businesses, which are all up and running for the season. It is important that we locals also support them.

Weather lately

The weather has sure been going back and forth in temperature and wind. I know this is not uncommon, but I wish it would make up its mind.

Community Center

At this point it is looking like the expansion will be finished by the end of June. It is amazing how much more room we’ll have for all the activities that are held there, as well as its refurbished exterior.

This and that

Thanks to all who have told me they agreed with my comments about Mr. Pellegrini’s comments in The Sheet.
