Another 3.5 quake near Holbrook

A 3.46 magnitude earthquake struck a mile southeast of Double Springs Flat at 9:30 p.m. Friday, three days after a 3.74 magnitude quake hit in nearly the same place.

The area located in southern Douglas County near Leviathan Mine Road has seen about 40 aftershocks after Tuesday afternoon's quake.

While there have been no reports of damage, the U.S. Geological Survey said 37 people reported feeling the earthquake, with most of those in Gardnerville. The most distant report was in Santa Rosa, Calif.
