Anita Kornoff : ‘All 4 Charity’ steak, crab cookout Friday night

Tonight from 5-9 p.m. is the 8th annual “All 4 Charity King Crab Feed and Steak Cookout” and will include a raffle and silent and live auctions. Tickets are $40 for either a pound King Crab or 12-oz. Ribeye Steak Dinner.

This year’s event proceeds go to support MEFIYI (Me for Incredible Youth) and Douglas High School Volleyball. Like many high school extracurricular programs, Douglas volleyball must raise its own funds to provide a meaningful experience for its student-athletes who volunteer and represent their school, family, and community. Wine Walk Thirsty Third Thursday

It’s fun T-Shirt night so wear the wildest one you’ve got on Aug. 17, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. The walk is followed by a “Wine Down” in Heritage Park with dessert and coffee 7-8:30 p.m. The cost is $15 to register plus $5 for the “Forever” glass. Reuse the glass at all future Thirsty Third Thursday (TTT) wine walks. The money raised helps fund the revitalization efforts in the Main Street District. Alpine County Historical Society
