Albert named medical center interim chief
Longtime Carson Valley Medical Center spokeswoman Shannon Albert has been selected to serve as the center’s interim chief executive officer effective Tuesday.
Albert is the center’s director of development and outreach, and has worked there for 12 years, according to information released on Wednesday.
“She has been integral in the development and implementation of the strategic direction and initiatives for the organization,” according to a statement. “Her dedication to carrying on the enter’s vision and strategic direction, as well as her strong relationship with the staff, leadership team and community partners were the key factors in the selection of Albert for this role. Albert will serve in the interim CEO role until the Board can complete the recruitment process for the permanent CEO position.”
President of the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, Albert also serves as the executive director of the Carson Valley Medical Center Hospital Foundation.
Prior to joining the center, she held various marketing positions with AIG VALIC in Sacramento. A graduate of California State University Sacramento, she has a bachelor’s degree in communications. Albert is a member of the American Marketing Association, Society for Healthcare Marketing and Development, Northern Nevada Development Authority and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. Shannon is a past president of Soroptimist International of Carson Valley.
Albert is replacing Susan Davila, who was named to the position in September 2012.
