Advisory committees have vacancies

Douglas County has 40 jobs to fill on 13 advisory boards and committees.

Applications will be accepted for the positions until 5 p.m. Dec. 30. The county commission will make appointments in January.

The lengths of the open terms vary. Members of the board of equalization, the Carson Water Subconservancy District, the library board of trustees and the planning commission serve four years. The other nine groups have two-year terms.

The boards and number of vacancies on each include:

Genoa Historic District Commission – 3

Law Library Board – 1

Library Board of Trustees -2

Parks and Recreation Commission – 3

Planning Commission – 2

Ratemaking Committee – 3

Senior Services Advisory Council – 4

Water Conveyance Advisory Committee – 3
