20-year Marine joins Douglas County Sheriff’s Office team
A 20-year U.S. Marine has been appointed as a new deputy, according to Douglas County Sheriff Ron Pierini.
Ignatius Kyeremeh was sworn in on Monday in a ceremony held at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Minden.
The appointment comes as a result of several months of testing and evaluation consisting of a physical agility test, oral interview, extensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, polygraph examination and medical exam.
Kyeremeh will begin his career at Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in the Jail Division.
Kyeremeh served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years achieving the rank of gunnery sergeant. He is married with two children.
