2.9 magnitude quake hits Carson City Wednesday morning
A series of tremblers were felt in the Carson City area Wednesday. The biggest, a 2.9 magnitude quake, hit at 5:59 a.m. Wednesday morning about five miles southeast of downtown Carson City. The quake was followed by a several small aftershocks.
The University of Nevada, Reno seismology lab reports there have been a number of small earthquakes along the area over the past week.
