Lions plan manure sale

Staff reports

The Carson Valley Lions are looking for donations for their Great Garage and Manure Sale – for rummage sale items to sell, that is.

Money raised from the annual event goes to help with community charities.

The sale will be held May 3 at the old Copeland Lumber parking lot in Minden at the intersection of Highway 395 and County Road.

The Lions have plenty of manure to sell to people in the Valley who want to use the stuff for enriching their garden soil. The manure is Storke Brand, the best kind, according to Barry Jones, who is in charge of the event.

Donations may be made to the Garage Sale by calling Jones at 782-7070. He will be collecting items up until April 25.

The sale will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
