Library holds bookworm name contest

Staff reports

The Douglas County Public Library is holding a contest to name its bookworm, which will be featured on the library float during Carson Valley Days.

All children 12 and under are welcome to enter as many names as they wish in the contest, which is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Library.

Entry blanks are available at the library, located on Library Lane off County Road in Minden.

The winning entry will be drawn June 11, and the name will be pinned on the bookworm for all to see during the parade. The winner will have the opportunity to ride in a 1927 roadster, which will also be part of the library’s parade entry.
