Library book sale coming Saturday

Staff reports

Bought any good books lately?

If not, stop by the Douglas County Library in Minden Nov. 15 for the big used book sale.

“We’ve had several large donations. This seems to be the time of year when people clean out their bookshelves,” librarian and sale organizer Constance Alexander said.

Anyone who wants to donate to the sale is welcome, she added.

Prices will be low. Alexander said she will, for instance, price newish good quality books at about 20 percent of their retail price.

“We have a really large and fairly nice selection of books,” Alexander said. “We’ve got an awful lot of current bestseller-type fiction and a lot of good quality paperbacks in good condition, and titles that run the gamut in non-fiction.”

Some children’s books are available, too.

The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Proceeds will go to the library building fund. For more information, call the library at 782-9841.
