Kwanis Club seeks wheels for Project Santa Claus

Staff Reports

The Kiwanis Club of Gardnerville/Minden kicks off its annual “Wheels Collection” for Project Santa Claus. Any new or used wheel items, such as bicycles, tricycles, wagons or scooters (in good condition only) may be donated. Wheels will be checked over, cleaned up and/or repairs made by the boys at China Spring Youth Camp and/or the Rite of Passage Training Center.

Wheeled items may be dropped off at the Town of Gardnerville, 1369 Highway 395 (place them by the blue trash cans) or at the Gardnerville Ranchos General Improvement District, 931 Mitch Dr., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

For pick up, contact Willie Kersey, 265-6494, or Jerry Rasmussen, 265-9406.

All items will be donated to Project Santa Claus for distribution at the Douglas County Fairgrounds by a group of volunteers a few days before Christmas.
