Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki was honored at the Nevada Federation of Republican Women Spring Board Meeting hosted by the Douglas County Republican Women’s club on May 17 and 18 at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden. U. S. Rep. Mark Amodei joined in the festivities and entertained the luncheon crowd on Saturday with stories of both his own experiences in Washington, D. C. and stories from his long and close association with Krolicki, a Stateline resident.

At the board meeting, three Douglas County Republican Women were elected to state office for the upcoming term. Sherry Dilley was elected first vice president, Janet Freixas was elected secretary, and Linda Colavechio was elected northern director. Nevada Sen. Barbara Cegavske also spoke to the group on campaign strategies and running for office at a Friday night dessert social. Ahead in October, to be held at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, is the NvFRW Biennial Convention, which will involve hundreds of members from Republican Women’s Clubs all over the Silver State. DCRW meets for lunch the first Wednesday of every month at 11:30 a.m. at the Carson Valley Inn.
