Kleiner presents research at undergraduate conference

Staff Reports

Evan Kleiner of Gardnerville presented a project titled “A Congressional Redistricting Algorithm” at the annual Whitman Undergraduate Conference.

The annual conference celebrates the scholarship and creativity of the Whitman student body through a day devoted entirely to original presentations which take the form of talks, posters presentations, musical performances and artistic exhibitions.

Students from every academic discipline of the college gather to share their research and creative projects with the campus community.

More than 200 students shared their work at this year’s conference, covering a wide array of subject matters.

These presentations and demonstrations of original achievement by students come through course work, study abroad, senior theses, summer research, fellowships and internships.

Kleiner is currently a junior math major at Whitman.
