Kiwanis used cartridges program benefits commmunity

Staff reports

The Gardnerville-Carson Valley Kiwanis Club is collecting used computer printer cartridges to benefit the community by keeping cartridges out of the landfills and generating money for the service club’s youth and senior projects. The used cartridges that may be recycled are empty inkjet, laser, copier and fax cartridges – all sizes, all brands. Businesses, county and state departments, schools and individuals may donate used items. Kiwanis will have collection points set up around the community and pick up the cartridges on a regular basis. The main dropoff point will be at Scolari’s Market. Pickup and dropoff site information, 265-5141.
