Kiwanis offers Hot August Days
A cool country day in the park is offered by the Kiwanis Club this weekend.
Many unique vendors plus exotic food are planned for the club’s first Hot August Days arts and crafts show and sale on Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, both days, at Minden Park.
Among the food and drink will be Thai and chinese cuisine, hot dogs, pop corn and ice cream.
Music will be played and anyone who is moved to dance on the lawn is welcome to do so, says Kiwanis member Stevie henderson.
The Dunbar Highland dancers will perform 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the gazebo.
Anyone who would like to rent a booth space may call Henderson for information at 265-2066.
