Kingsbury Middle School Parents’ Club invites the community to the Autumn Arts Festival at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The fund-raiser will benefit the students of Kingsbury Middle School by funding library purchases, field trips, class activities and various equipment purchases.

The artists and authors will be present to discuss their work. Books and art work will be for sale at affordable prices, said Kathy Pavich of the Parents’ Club.

Some of the attending artists include Mickey Thomas of Starship, who will autograph pictures, Jim Stamates with his wildlife and landscape photographs of Lake Tahoe, Diane Goldman with her decorative boxes and jewelry, Faye Wagner with her bronze and clay sculpture, Lady Jill Mueller with her watercolors, Francis Rider with his Raku pottery, Sarah Thomas with her color pastels and ink abstracts, Charlotte Schroyer with her Indian reed baskets and Navajo weaving, Michelle Gabler-Herz with her portrait work and Robert Montanucci with his still life oil paintings.

Some of the authors scheduled to appear include Julie Carville with her book, “Hiking Tahoe’s Wildflower Trails,” which was illustrated by Stephanie Barboni-Seppa, William Douglas with “Gaming in Tahoe,” Dale Smith with his children’s books called “What the Parrot Told Alice” and Mike White with “Snowshoeing in Tahoe.” Mark McLaughlin will not attend, but his “True Tales of Tahoe” series will be for sale during the evening.

Some 200 prizes will be raffled during the evening. An additional raffle will be held to raffle books and art work from the artists and authors.

Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
