Kids may enter coloring contest and get in free to Genoa Renaissance Faire
The Genoa Renaissance Faire committee is sponsoring a “Genoa Renaissance Faire Coloring Contest” for all children between the ages of 5 and 12 who take their colored entry to the faire later this month.
There are two age groups (5-8 and 9-12), with a prize of a $50 savings bond to each age group donated by the Bank of America, Minden branch and L and M Promotions.
Entry forms will appear in The Record-Courier and Nevada Appeal and are also available at several area merchants and the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, Carson Valley Historical Society Museum and Cultural Center in Gardnerville and Genoa Courthouse Museum in Genoa.
On Friday, July 28, the “Village of Genovese” will be open free of charge to all Douglas County elementary schools and other groups of 10 or more chaperoned children for free games and entertainment.
The Genoa Renaissance Faire is Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30, at the south end of Genoa and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
