Kids’ coloring contest co-sponsored by the R-C
The Record-Courier, L & M Promotions and the Minden branch of Bank of America are sponsoring a “Genoa Renaissance Faire Coloring Contest” for children between the ages of 5 and 12, who are to take their completed entry to the Faire.
There are two age groups, 5 through 8 and 9 through 12, with a prize of a $50 savings bond in each age group donated by Bank of America, Minden branch, and L & M Promotions.
Entry forms will appear in The Record-Courier July 14 and 17 and are also available at the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, Genoa Courthouse Museum, Gorman’s, Raley’s, Scolari’s, Smith’s and The Record-Courier.
Friday, July 23, the Village of Genovese will be open free of charge to all Douglas County elementary schools and other groups of 10 or more chaperoned children for free games and entertainment.
The Genoa Renaissance Faire is Saturday, July 24, and Sunday, July 25, at 2242 Main St., at the south end of Genoa, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $4. Children presenting their completed coloring contest entry will be admitted free.
