Imagine Elks eating spaghetti

Staff Reports

The Minden-Douglas Elks will hold the annual Spaghetti Feed and Christmas Tree Bingo on the same day as the gazebo lighting at Minden Park.

The event is set for the CVIC Hall on Esmeralda Avenue in downtown Minden, Dec. 5, with happy hour at 4 p.m., dinner at 5 p.m., and tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. Bingo begins at 7 p.m.

The menu includes all-you-can-eat salad, garlic bread and spaghetti. Tickets will be available at the door or from any Elk. Cost is $5 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12 years old.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Elks Christmas basket program, which provides baskets of food, clothing and toys for the less privileged families in Douglas County.

The lighting of Minden Park along with the other events held in Minden that evening form the kickoff to the Christmas season in Minden.

Prizes during Bingo are hams and turkeys. Bingo cards area 25 cents each.
