Ice cream truck rolling through Indian Hills
Indian Hills resident Shahla Fadaie recently purchased the Mr. Ice Cream truck and started a new business, Shahlala Healthy Ice Cream Rush. She is serving the same Douglas County route as the previous owner with a new ’50s theme.
Fadaie will introduce two of her custom ice cream flavors at the Casino Fandango Food Truck Festival noon to 5 p.m. Saturday,
The new varieties are called Mud ‘N Pie and Worm ‘N Dirt. They will be available in eight ounce cups.
“I am very excited about my custom line of ice cream,” Fadaie said. “We use only the highest quality ingredients and they are delicious. You will get a ‘healthy rush’ when you taste them.”
Shahlala Healthy Ice Cream Rush offers a complete menu of traditional ice cream treats like Klondike Bars, Drumstick Cones, It’s It, Choco Tacos, Dream Bars and the decadent Magnum Bars. Shahla also has healthier choices that are only 100 calories each, like Skinny Cow, Fudgsicle and Black Raspberry.
You can even purchase an ice cream cup for your dog.
Purina specifically formulates Frosty Paws for dogs.
The Shahlala ice cream truck serves every weekend at James Lee Park in Indian Hills.
Her regular route is Indian Hills on Saturday, Sunridge on Sunday, Chichester and Stodick Estates on Tuesday and Stephanie Way/Johnson Lane on Wednesday.
The truck will also come to a party or event. Fadaie may be reached at 781-2394.
