Honor band and choir performance held at Pa-Wa-Lu Middle School
The Northern Zone Music Educators Association honor band and choir performances were held at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School Thursday evening.
Students from several high schools in Northern Nevada rehearsed for two days, then gave a public performance at PWLMS in Thursday evening. Clay Redfield of Reno was the band conductor and Bill Weiser of Sparks was the choral director.
Students from Carson Valley Middle School, Douglas High School and PWLMS took part. Students auditioned for a place in the band and choir, and are now eligible for All State band and choir performances later in the spring.
Among those to perform were students who were selected to give command performances at the recent NZMEA solo and ensemble festival in Fallon.
