Grand Masonic Lodge lays cornerstone at Methodist church

The Grand Lodge of Nevada and Carson Valley Lodge No. 33 F and AM laid the cornerstone for the new Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville April 26.

The cornerstone’s time capsule contains many items representing the history of the church over the past 100 years. It will be opened in the year 2098.

The building committee chairperson is Gil Jay and the chairman of the church trustees is Hank Taylor. The Grand Master of the Masons of Nevada to coordinate the cornerstone laying was Arthur K. Cronin, and chairman of the church administrative board is Bob Pohlman.

Pastor of the Methodist church is Pete Nelson.

The new church is located at 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
