Gifts and prizes set for Savor the Flavor
Guests will have an opportunity to win a door prize and purchase tickets for the chance to spin the Megabucks wheel at the Carson Valley Inn as well as taste fine wine, microbrews and food at the Soroptimist International of Carson Valley’s fifth Wine and Microbrew Tasting.
They may also bid on a themed gift baskets ranging from affordable to “high end,” according to Soroptimist publicity chairperson Cheri Johnson.
“Savor the Flavor” will be held 6-9 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Seirra Nevada Golf Ranch north of Genoa.
Proceeds from the sale of baskets will go to the Family Support Council’s Women’s Shelter Fund. Last year, the group raised more than $3,000 on the basket auction, Johnson said, and hopes are high that the figure can be increased at this year’s fund-raiser.
