Genoa antiques sale, appraisal fair coming

Staff reports

L & M Promotions and the Genoa Sesquicentennial Committee’s Genoa Area Antique Show and Sale will be held at the historic town hall in downtown Genoa on April 8 and 9, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $1 each day.

The April antique show will feature dealers from Northern Nevada and California. This antique show will have something for everyone in every price range, from rare antiques to all sorts of memorabilia and collectibles – elegant Victorian furniture in oak, walnut and mahogany to primitive pine and painted, reasonable priced paper items, rare books, vintage clothing, jewelry, glassware, pottery, dolls, toys, rugs and kitchen primitives and much more.

An appraisal clinic will be offered again for $5 per item, so take along a treasure to be appraised.

The Genoa Sesquicentennial Committee, co-sponsor of this event, will be selling food and beverages, including lunch items, beer, wine and soda pop. The committee will also be selling special Genoa Sesquicentennial collector items and taking orders for the Genoa Mormon Station Sesquicentennial numbered collector plates.

Door prizes will be given away.
