Gardnerville Elementary performs two fairy tales
Excitement and charm graced the stage at Gardnerville Elementary School last week as the school’s drama club, under the direction of Dana Vander Linden, presented their spring production,
Audiences watched “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves” and “Beauty and the Beast.” More than 60 students from grades 1 through 6 made up the two casts, who worked on the production since early January, Vander Linden said.
“Snow White and the Seven Dwarves” starred Shelby Vander Linden in the lead role featuring a solo dance number.
Colleen McConnell was the wicked stepmother, and the dwarves were Joshua Grimm, Justin Grimm, Jon Lee, Jack Cholin, Ryan Guerra, Daniel Hobson and Stanley Running Wolf.
Other major roles were portrayed by Manda Running Wolf, Nicole Drumm, Jaime Aitkenhead, Jill Fisher, Adriana Marquez, Rachel Van Roy and Alisa Chighizola. Melissa Nestroyl, Charlie Schettler, Tessa Schwob Nelson and Pamela Marquez were narrators.
“Beauty and the Beast” had Amanda Cable and Richey Nalder in the title roles, with Adam Wennhold as Lumiere and Klinttin Lynch as Cogsworth. Kelsey Zufelt as Mrs. Potts was featured, singing the title song.
Filling out the major roles were Keith Lowe as Gaston, Marco Hyman as LeFuer, Natalie Arneson as Aunt Marie, Melanie Moglich as Belle’s sister, Kirsten Pieters as Fifi, Viri Gomez as Armoire, Brianna Nalder as Chip, Cari Chighizola, Danielle Blum, Nicole LaPorte and Mary Anne Jordan were narrators.
