Garden party June 4 at Wild Rose Inn
An elegant garden party will be held at 4 p.m. June 4 at the Wild Rose Inn, 2332 Main St., Genoa, to benefit Nevada nonprofit corporation “Between Horses and Humans.” The inn is currently the private residence of Jeannette and Dave Bostedt. BHH empowers children by giving them the tools to deal with life’s challenges using a combination of ground exercises, equine bodywork and riding. Young people learn leadership and life skills through horsemanship. All proceeds from the benefit help bring this unique program to all children at no charge. Tickets are $65 per person and include live music, dancing, gourmet dinner, dessert, and spirits and children will share ways in which BHH has made a positive impact on their lives. Avoid disappointment — get tickets now. Call Barbara at 265-0901 for details.
Take time to look up tonight during a stargazing event at the Nature Conservancy River Fork Ranch, located at 381 Genoa Lane. Presented by the Astronomical Society of Nevada of Carson Valley, a nonprofit group of amateur astronomers that enjoys sharing our night skies and their passion for astronomy through public “star parties.” Bring the whole family — children especially enjoy the experience and are welcomed under the supervision of their parents. Free to everyone. For more information, visit cjastronomy.com.
