Friends of Hope Valley to feature Back Forty at event
Friends and supporters are invited to attend the Friends of Hope Valley annual afternoon barbecue and music fund-raiser at Sorensen’s Resort in Hope Valley on Sunday, June 25.
Starting at 1 p.m. and going all afternoon until 7 p.m., everyone is invited to listen to music, enjoy a chicken and ribs barbecue and support the work of this Sierra-based, non-profit environmental organization, said Patty Brissenden of Sorensen’s Resort.
The Back Forty Bluegrass and Folk Band will be the main entertainment with their wide range of musical styles. Singer and songwriter Larry Nair will also perform throughout the afternoon with some favorite tunes and his own melodies, she said.
Cost is $5 per person. The barbecue is extra at $9.95 per person. Soft drinks, beer and wine also will be available.
