Frances Dreiling is new Soroptimist president

Soroptimist International of Carson Valley held its 27th installation of officers on June 21 at the Riverbend Bar and Grille at Genoa Lakes, Genoa.

Those in attendance witnessed the passing of the gavel from President Arlene Gleich to incoming President Frances Dreiling. Other officers installed from the 1999-2000 year are President-elect Didi Chaney, Vice President Linda Faff, Recording Secretary Jeri Johnson, Corresponding Secretary Mindy Richards and Treasurer Christi Dunlap. On the current board of directors are directors Jessica Jensen and Liz Bricker and delegates Elaine Agnason and Arlene Gleich. Sandy Cable will serve as parliamentarian.

Soroptimist International of Carson Valley is one of 3,149 clubs throughout the 119 countries that make up Soroptimist International. Soroptimist International is the world’s largest classified service organization established for executive and professional women for the purpose of providing service, principally to its community, but also to society in general-locally, nationally and around the world.

“Soroptimist provides an excellent opportunity for women to form networks and to develop their leadership skills,” said Liz Bricker.

Soroptimist International of Carson Valley meets at noon every Tuesday at Two Guys From Italy in Gardnerville. The public is invited to attend all meetings except the first Tuesday of each month. For reservations, call Vice President Linda Faff at 265-1746.
