Gary Thompson’s rant against Democrats and Progressive groups, posted in the June 12 Record-Courier, is typical of the mind-set of right wing conservative extremists.

He professes to have great knowledge of Democrats while completely ignoring the mess Republicans and the Bush Administration have created for all Americans. Because Mr. Thompson clearly is in love with Bush, Boehner and his kind, I assume that he must subscribe to the ex-president’s ideology, policies, and mode of operation.

He demonstrates this by following the typical conservative’s (Muzzy, Posselt et al) first rule and that is to trash and personally attack any group or person who disagrees with the current administration.

Mr. Thompson demonstrates that he has learned this lesson well.

I suppose Mr. Thompson also supports the belief that all poor or unemployed people are simply too lazy to work, or that all people of color must be in this country illegally, perfected by Bush and the Republican Party, to punish and trash opponents.

Frankly, I’m tired of conservatives who profess to know what is “best” for everyone and are willing to destroy this great country in order to attempt to regain power and cram their policies down our throats (i.e. unfunded wars).

I’m also tired of the corruption, fraud, intimidation, divisiveness, and downright lying that was and is still being used by the Republican Party and the Tea Party in attempting to impose their ideology on all Americans.

Finally, Mr. Thompson, thank God we have CNN or MSNBC to keep us informed of the truth.

If we had to depend on the likes of the conservative media, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Ann Coulter for factual news, we would be in a bigger mess than we were from Jan. 20, 2001 to Jan. 20, 2009.
