Family Support quilt to be raffled

The Douglas County Family Support Council will raffle off a hand appliqued-machine stitched tulip quilt.

The quilt was made and donated by Mary Ann Christensen, Gardnerville. The quilt is valued at $750 and the drawing will be held July 31. Tickets are $5 each and all proceeds will go to benefit the Family Support Council of Douglas County.

The quilt will be at several businesses for viewing. June 1-7, office of Dr. Randy Wright D.D.S., 1001 North Mountain St., Carson City; June 8-14, Tumblewind Antiques, 1600 Esmerelda, Minden; June 15-21, High Desert Fitness Center, 1657 Highway 395, Minden; June 22 – July 5, Fashion Attitudes, 1333 Highway 395, Gardnerville; July 6-12, Marlo’s 111 W 10 St., Carson City; July 13-19, Beachcomber Salon, 1507 Highway 395, Gardnerville; July 20-31, Finishing Touch Salon, 1281 Kimmerling Rd., Gardnerville Ranchos.

On June 19 during Volunteer Appreciation Day barbecue, the quilt will be displayed at the Family Support Council office, 1255A Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville.
