Family Support Council to have PEP speakers

The Family Support Council will host speakers Retta Dermody and Nilza Meligan from Parents Encouraging Parents (PEP). This organization is a statewide network of parents and professionals working together to enhance and expand support services for children with disabilities and their families.

All members of the community who are interested are invited to attend. The topics will include information about the PEP organization, the individual education program and changes to the Individuals with Disability Education Act.

The meeting will be Wednesday, June 24, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Family Support Council, Hussman Building, 1255 Waterloo Lane, Suite A, Gardnerville. Free child care is provided with pre-registration; call 782-8692. The program is funded by the Frances C. and William Smallwood Foundation.
