Family Support Council store offers sales
Even though fall is in the air, you can probably count on a couple more weeks of hot weather. If your family is tired of their summer attire, plan on coming to the Family Support Council Thrift Shop’s “End of Summer” sales.
Tomorrow and Friday, all summer items will be half off.
“This will be a great opportunity to plan for next summer and put some pizzazz in your current wardrobe,” said council Executive Director Karen Edwards.
Friday, Sept. 15, will be “Bag Day.” One dollar will buy an entire bag of summer clothes.
“This is a fun event and one that even your children or grandchildren will enjoy,” Edwards said. “Your participation will help us make room for our fall and winter items.
“Our thrift shop Manager, Kim Marcotte, will be happy to greet you, and her staff, Nancy Kerley and a dedicated group of volunteers, will help you find just what you need. Remember, all the money raised helps Family Support Council assist families in our community.”
Donations in good condition are always accepted during store hours. The shop needs clean, quality furniture and clothing, and staff and volunteers will also do furniture pickups if needed.
“If you haven’t visited our store yet, come on down during these special sales days. You won’t regret it. Our store is clean and organized. You are guaranteed to have a fun time. Sorry, we do not take large appliances,” Edwards said.
To get to the store, go south on Highway 395 through Gardnerville, turn left onto Southgate Drive and turn left again on Pep Circle. The shop is located right behind Job’s Peak Veterinary Hospital and is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our telephone number is 783-8869.
