Elks planning fall fashion show
The Minden-Douglas Elks Lodge presents the annual fashion show with a blaze of fall and winter color on Sunday, Oct. 15.
This is always a must-attend event, but this year promises to dwarf all of the previous efforts. Our dazzling models, 14 of the Elk women and three Elk male models, will put on a show to be rembered. This year’s show will be highlighted with selections from William Furs of Reno.
This spectacular will be held at the Carson Valley Inn and will begin with cocktails and the camaraderie of friends and neighbors at 11:30 a.m. This will be followed lunch at 12:30 p.m. and then the big show. An intermission show will be the talk of the town for months, though it will safe for guests of all ages. Paul Conrad on the keyboard will provide the musical background.
There will be door prizes and a raffle of articles donated by local merchants and Elk memebers.
Cost is $20 per person with reservations or $23 at the door if there is room. Contact Bob or Donna Allgeier at 267-3996 for tickets.
Every penny of Elk fund-raising goes directly to charitable causes with no waste or overhead salaries.
