Elks planning annual Crab Feed

The Minden-Douglas Elks Lodge will hold its annual “All You Can Eat” Crab Feed on Saturday, Feb. 19, at the CVIC Hall in Minden, beginning with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner starting about 6:30 p.m.

As in years past, the menu will include fresh Dungeness crab flown in from the Oregon Coast especially for this event, garlic French bread and New England clam chowder.

‘We have a couple of additions to the program, which we feel might be of interest to everyone,” said Dave Trueblood. “First, we will have shrimp cocktails available at our two bars during the attitude adjustment hour, and secondly, for those of you whose partners do not eat crab, we will offer steak and salad. This option will only be available by advance reservation.

Reservations for the event can be made until Wednesday, Feb. 9, as the club must inform the supplier as to the amount of crab to ship. Reservations can be made by calling Trueblood at 782-3416.

“We are pleased to announce that the cost for this fun evening remains the same as last year, $25 per person, so if you are interested, please make your plans soon, as we are expecting a large turnout,” he said.
