Elks plan inaugural ball with food and dancing
Carson Valley residents are invited to the next Minden-Douglas Elks Lodge Inaugural Ball to indulge themselves with a first-class dinner and dancing.
“We have a 17-piece band playing music of the ’40s and ’50s,” said Elk Elza Turkington, who is hoping people will be as enthusiastic about the event as he is.
“We’re going to dance the night away,” he said. “Bring your friends.”
The dinner and dance will be held at the Carson Valley Inn downstairs April 10 and will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
The Brian Farnon Band will play for dancing following dinner.
