Elks plan Crab Feed in February
The Minden/Douglas Elks Lodge will hold the group’s annual “All You Can Eat Crab Feed” Saturday, Feb. 17, at the CVIC Hall in Minden beginning with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner beginning about 6:30 p.m.
As in years past, the menu will include fresh Dungeness crab flown in from the Oregon coast especially for this event, garlic French bread and New England clam chowder.
“We have a couple of additions to the program, which we feel might be of interest to everyone,” said Dave Trueblood. “First, we will have shrimp cocktails available at our two bars during the attitude adjustment hour, and secondly, for those of you whose partners do not eat crab, we will offer steak and salad. This option will only be available by advance reservation.”
Reservations for this event must be made by Wednesday, Feb. 7, as the supplier needs to know the amount of crab to ship. Reservations may be made by calling Trueblood at 782-3416.
